Week 40: How I Stay Open to Growth

Every season of life carries an invitation to grow.

Embracing Change, Curiosity, and the Courage to Evolve

I used to believe that growth meant fixing myself or reaching some finish line where I would finally have it all together. Over time, I realized growth is not about perfection but about staying willing to evolve. It shows up in the lessons I learn, the mistakes I make, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward.

Embracing Change

For me, staying open to growth means making peace with change. Change used to scare me because it meant stepping into the unknown. Now, I see it as an invitation. Each shift in life, whether it is a new season, a challenge, or a lesson, brings an opportunity to see myself differently. I remind myself that change is not about losing who I am but uncovering more of who I am meant to be.

Learning Along the Way

I no longer feel like I have to know everything. Admitting I do not have all the answers frees me to stay curious. Growth happens when I ask questions, read new perspectives, and let others teach me. Sometimes those lessons are wrapped in struggle, but even the hardest moments have given me insight I could not have gained any other way.

Choosing to Stay Open

It would be easier to settle into what is comfortable, but I know that comfort rarely leads to transformation. Staying open requires me to listen more than I speak, to reflect before I react, and to keep showing up even when I fail. Growth is not about being perfect, it is about being willing.

“Growth is the willingness to remain teachable, even when we think we know the lesson.” – John C. Maxwell

As I look back on my journey, I see that growth is not something I chase. It is something I allow. When I stay open, I create space for wisdom, healing, and new beginnings.
