Your biggest fear about growing old
I’ve never had any fears of growing old. I actually look forward to it. I want to see my grandchildren get married and I want to be around to hold and love on my great-grandchildren. There is so much to look forward to that I’m almost, dare I say, excited to see what happens in my future.
Of course I worry a bit about my health and being a burden on my children as I get older but not so much that it causes me any great distress. I know I need to start taking better care of myself and planning for the future. I always have thoughts about what needs to be done and how I really need to start researching things.
I hope to be around for quite a long time. I hope to see my 100th birthday. I hope I age fairly gracefully and I hope I keep my wits about me as I do so. I have no fear of growing older!
Short and sweet for today.
I still feel like a young person, mentally and am enjoying my later years. My biggest concern though is getting ill and ending up in a nursing home with no one to advocate for me. I have no support from my family. Thank goodness I have a trust in place that dictates my wishes.

I can understand that! I don’t want to be a burden on my kids though so I tell them to make sure it’s a good home and visit me often.
